ضرب الاعصار نيبارتاك المصحوب بأعتى رياح منذ اكثر من قرن تايوان الجمعة وتسبب في اجلاء 15 الف شخص والغاء مئات الرحلات الجوية واغلاق مدارس ومكاتب.
وقد وصل نيبارتاك الى اليابسة في قرية تايمالي في منطقة تايتونغ الشرقية مصحوبا بأمطار غزيرة ورياح عاتية بلغت سرعتها 198 كلم في الساعة وهي الاعنف منذ 1901.
