10/05/2008 Al-Manar correspondent in north Lebanon reported that Mustakbal militiamen opened fire at bus carrying Syrian workers on the Minyeh Highway killing three people and injuring 12 others, some seriously. Moreover, Mustakbal militiamen erected checkpoints on the road between Tripoli and Akkar. Earlier, three people have been killed and 20 others injured during a funeral in the Shatila region in Beirut. The Lebanese army intelligence managed to arrest the gunman who opened fire at the funeral. According to the army, the 60 year old man is called Hussein Sabbah and that the incident was over previous individual problems with his attackers. Witnesses said that Mustakbal militiamen raided on Thursday the store of Sabbah which is located in an area under their control, and set it on fire. Witnesses also say that Mustakbal militiamen came to the man another time on Friday and threatened him of setting his store on fire another time, after residents in the area helped in putting out the fire a day earlier. And on Saturday, the same assailants attacked his store with stones and set it ablaze while Sabbah was still inside. The man managed to escape the fire, took his weapon and opened fire in the air. Mustakbal militiamen gathered again and set the rest of the store on fire, but this time they sought to burn his house on fire while his family was inside it. The man opened fire again to defend his family, and then the army interfered and arrested the man.
