The Popular Committees in Yemen said that the arrest of President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi's chief of staff, Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, is a necessary step in order to prevent any inversion attempt against the peace and partnership agreement.

The Committees asserted in a statement that they are ready to take deterring measures and warned the president against protecting corruption in the country.
