Hezbollah MP: Torturing Roumieh Inmates Unethical, Unjustified

These acts contradict ethics as they violate the human rights, Sahili said on Tuesday, according to National news agency.Hezbollah MP Nawar Sahili

Sahili noted that the prisoner has rights that should be considered, despite the crime he had committed.

Earlier on Saturday, a video posted on Youtube showed ISF guards severely beating several prisoners with plastic rod.

Among the prisoners beaten was Omar al-Atrash, an Arsal-based sheikh who was arrested months ago over links to terrorist attacks which rock several areas across Lebanon.

Al-Atrash has been accused of moving booby-trapped cars which struck Hermel and Beirut’s southern suburb (Dahiyeh).
