Local Editor

Hezbollah strongly condemned the heinous crime that targeted Information Branch Chief General Wissam Al-Hasan causing his martyrdom along with a number of citizens and the injury of scores others, as well as the destruction of buildings and properties.

Achrafieh blastIn a statement issued Friday, Hezbollah considered that “this hideous crime is a vicious attempt to target stability and national unity,” and urged the “security and judicial apparatuses to use all efforts to control the crime, uncover its committers, and bring them to justice.”

Hezbollah had issued a statement on the car blast that hit Achrafieh before the announcement of Al-Hasan’s martyrdom expressing it “shock over the tragic terror attack that hit Achrafieh region causing death and tens of injuries among innocents.”

As it strongly condemned the criminal attack, it called upon the concerned apparatuses to make all efforts to uncover the committers and cut the hand that wants to mess with the security of the nation and citizen.”

Hezbollah also called on all the Lebanese, forces, parties, committees, and citizens to unite and miss this opportunity on every conspirator on the security of the nation, life, safety, and the citizen’s security.
