Iran Launches “Great Prophet 8” Maneuvers South East Country

Iran maneuverThe Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards’ land force launched Wednesday “Great Prophet 8” maneuvers south east the country.

IRGC Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour announced that that the drills will continue until the 25th of February and that their key stage will start on Saturday.

General Pakpour assured that “the land force will use electronic and communication war programs and some individual equipment during the drills,” clarifying that “examining the modern, advanced equipement, followig up the readiness of the mobilization forces and their organizational ability in public defense, and demonstrating the types of resistance, is the most important goal of the maneuver.”

The Iranian official further stated that “training land forces on defense tactics, in addition to testing some military equipment, evaluating the readiness of the trained units, and their ability to apply theories on ground, are also from the maneuver’s goals.”
