Imam Khamenei Denounces Western Media Blackout on Yemen

Imam Khamanei denounced Western media’s silence on crimes committed in the Middle East, especially the brutal Saudi brutal aggression against Yemen.

Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei denounced Western media’s silence on crimes committed in the Middle East, especially the brutal Saudi brutal aggression against Yemen.

Addressing a group of professors of Persian poetry and literature, cultural figures, Imam Khamenei lashed out at media outlets which are dominated by the US, Britain.

His eminence said those media outlets stage a propaganda campaign “over an animal’s life while they keep outrageously quiet towards these crimes… such as the bombardment of Yemen these days as well as the past years’ aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.”Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei

“What should a dignified person do in the face of such bias and evil?”the Leader wondered, Press TV reported.

Despite incessant bombardment of the impoverished Arab country, mainstream media are mostly ignoring the US-backed aggression by Riyadh.

Meanwhile, Imam Khamenei urged the Revolution's poetry to serve justice, unity and all-out national progress as major goals of the Islmaic Revolutions.
His eminence underlined that in the conflict of good and evil, dignified poetry has to defend the good.

'Today any kind of poem which opposes oppression and is in line with the goals of the Muslim Ummah, including, those in Yemen, Bahrain, Lebanon, Gaza, Palestine and Syria, is an example of intelligent poem,' the Leader  said, according to IRNA news agency.

Yemen has been since March 26 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition. Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
