Next National Dialogue Session on November 12

The national dialogue session held at the presidential palace ended and the next session will be held on November 12.

national dialogue session-archive- The national dialogue was held today under the chairmanship of President Michel Sleiman and the presence of rival leaders. Absent was Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the leader of the Lebanese Forces Samir Geagea, MP Suleiman Franjieh and MP Talal Arslan.

The dialogue session was set to discuss the national defense strategy prepared by President Michel Suleiman.

A statement issued following the national dialogue session said: “The conferees agreed that Sleiman's vision is a starting point for discussions in their attempt to reach a consensus on the defense strategy, including the issue of arms.”
