Hezbollah Slams Attack on Syrian Media, Denies any of Fighters Martyred
Local Editor

Hezbollah flagSlamming the assault on Syrian Radio and Television building, Media Relations of Hezbollah issued a statement Monday condemning the attack in Damascus that wounded several people.

“The attack is a new violation against press freedom and a violation against the international laws and regulations that ban any kind of attack against civilians during war time,” a statement issued by Hezbollah Media Relation office read.

“The Media Relations of Hezbollah – lashing out the attack on media – strongly condemns the attack on journalists, whoever they are. It believes this systematic attack on media an attempt to hit the patriotic voices and leave the arena for biased media which aims at fabricating rumors and fueling fanaticism, strife and division,” the statement said.

Hezbollah called upon all concerned parties to keep the media apart from crisis in order to perform duties without any pressure.

In another statement, Hezbollah denied media reports of Okaz Saudi newspaper, in which it claimed that a number of Hezbollah fighters were killed during clashes in Syria.

Media Relation of Hezbollah confirmed that “this story is totally untrue. It is only fabricated by the imagination of those who drafted it.”
