The Bahraini security forces have warned earlier of protesting or performing “illegal activities”, and assured that they “would take the necessary preventative measures to prevent that”.

The National Guard of Bahrain and the Bahraini Internal Ministry imposed a tight security cordon in the Pearl Roundabout region to prevent protestors from reaching there.

This comes as the Bahraini opposition is arranging a massive protest on the anniversary of the Bahraini revolution, which was oppressed by the Bahraini monarchy and blacked out by international media.
