Iran Tests “Qader” Missile on Last Day of Navy Exercise

Iran successfully tested a “Qader” ground-to-ship cruise missile on Monday, the last day of navy exercise near the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran successfully tested a “Qader” ground-to-ship cruise missile on Monday, the last day of navy exercise near the Strait of Hormuz.

The official Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Navy Spokesman Commodore Mahmoud Mousavi as saying that “this missile built by Iranian experts successfully hit its target and destroyed it.”

“It was the first time a Qader missile had been tested,” he added.

Mousavi has earlier told ISNA that "Qader missile is an ultra-modern missile with integrated, ultra-precise radar whose range and intelligent anti-detection system have been improved over previous generations."

The navy spokesman further pointed out that the navy was to test two other types of missiles later Monday, a surface-to-surface Nour missile and a Nasr anti-ship missile.
