SalamLebanese Prime Minister, Tammam Salam, issued a memo in which he declared Tuesday a state of public mourning for the souls of fallen martyrs in the deplorable suicide bombings that rattled the town of Qaa in the Bekaa at dawn on Monday.

As a result of the appalling terrorist crime which claimed the lives of our blessed sons, the Lebanese flags will be put at half mast on June 28, 2016, in all state institutions, administrations and municipalities, memo said.

The Lebanese, wherever they are, are also asked to stand five minutes of silence during the funeral of the fallen martyrs, as a token of national, patriotic solidarity with the families of martyrs and the injured, memo concluded.

Salam had followed up on the terrorist attack that shook Qaa village. He was briefed by ministers, security commanders and judicial figures on the latest investigations into the blasts.

Accordingly, Salam delivered a statement in which he condemned "the terrorist attack targeting Qaa village and resulting in the martyrdom of a number of innocent citizens and the injury of others."

Foreign Affairs Minister, Gibran Bassil, inspected the sites of the suicidal blasts that jolted Qaa in North Bekaa, stressing that Lebanon was the first line of defense for Europe and that Qaa was the first line for Lebanon, and noting that the Lebanese government should do more than what it's currently doing with regard to fighting terrorism.

Several other political parties and figures issued statements in which they condemned the terrorist attack, stressing the importance of confronting the takfiri threat.
