The Syrian army and allies had regained control over SyriaTel Hill which lies 300 meters away from Palmyra castle, combing the area and dismantling all the explosives planted by ISIL terrorists who had fled the battlefield.

The Syrian army also controlled Palmyra-Qariatayn highway, isolating the ancient city from all the possible supply routes to ISIL terrorists.

The Syrian army had clashed fiercely with ISIL terrorists, killing scores of them.

Al-Manar correspondent reported that the Syrian soldiers had launched from the hill a rocketry attack on ISIL terrorists who deploy in the vicinity of the ancient castle in Palmyra, claiming a number of extremist militants.
