Zionist entityZionist media outlets started on Sunday to express relief and to welcome the Saudi Arabia's decision to halt the aid it promised to provide to the Lebanese army less than 24 hours after the Saudi statement.

The Zionist Haaretz daily tackled the Riyadh decision in one of its articles, calling it "appropriate step," which expresses the entity's fears of a well-equipped army in Lebanon.

"Israel believes that depriving the Lebanese army of weapons completely would deprive the Lebanese defense system of new capabilities, and would enable Israel to perform blackmailing in this regard, because it cannot accept the idea of a powerful Lebanon," Lebanese retired Brigadier-General Amin Hoteit told Al-Manar TV.

Lebanon: Amin HoteitHaaretz reported that another regional step was welcomed by the Zionist entity, which is not less important than halting the Saudi gift. It is the Saudi-Turkish plan to send ground troops to north Syria.

"Any action that might break the Syrian steadfastness, or weaken the government of President Bashar Al-Assad, will serve Israel. For this reason it believes that the Turkish and Saudi intervention in Syria will be anti-ISIL campaign," Hoteit said.

"Because of its close relations with Turkey and Saudi Arabia, Israel knows that fighting ISIL is only a cover, while the real campaign will target Assad's government," he concluded.

Zionist media: HaaretzMoreover, Haaretz reported concerns inside the entity of occupation of a possible victory by Syrian army against the armed groups, calling the western countries to provide the militants with weapons in order to prevent such victory.

"Russian intervention has tilted the scales, and Jerusalem is concerned of a regime victory [in Syria]... To prevent that, Israeli officials believe West must intervene in favor of moderate rebels," it said, in reference to the terrorist armed groups operating across Syria against the national military.
