Palestinian Stabs Two Occupation Officers in Al-Quds before Being Shot Dead

A Palestinian stabbed and wounded two Zionist police officers outside Damascus Gate in Al-Quds city on Friday before they shot him dead.

Palestine: Stabbing operationA Palestinian stabbed and wounded two Zionist police officers outside Damascus Gate in Al-Quds city on Friday before they shot him dead, occupation police said.

"A terrorist attacked a squad of officers from behind, stabbed and wounded them lightly, the squad responded with fire and neutralized the terrorist," police said, confirming the martyrdom of the Palestinian young man and identifying him as 20-year-old from Kafr Aqeb.

A spokeswoman for the Shaare Zedek hospital in Al-Quds said they received two men in their 20s suffering stab wounds, both of them in stable condition.

Medics said they had also treated a 50-year-old woman who had sustained a light wound to her leg, apparently as a result of the shooting, before evacuating her to a hospital in east Al-Quds.

Violence in Palestine erupted since a group of Zionist settlers stormed AL-Aqsa compound in occupied al-Quds under the protection of Zionist security forces, killing so far 102 Palestinians and claiming 17 Zionists.

Few Palestinians of those who were killed have been young people who carried out or tried to carry out stabbing and running over operations, while many other Palestinian martyrs have been shot dead by Zionist security forces during clashes.

The international community has repeatedly called for moves to reduce tensions but Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to step up punitive measures.
