Syrian, Russian Air Fleets Strike Militant Centers in Aleppo

Militant groups in Syria sustained major losses on Wednesday in the joint combat flights of the Russian and Syrian fighter jets in the Northern part of Aleppo province.

AleppoThe Syrian and Russian warplanes raided the defense lines of militant groups near the towns of Kafr Hamra and Hayyan, which inflicted a heavy death toll on the militants and destroyed their military grid in large scale.

Reports said earlier today that Kurdish fighters of People's Protection Units, supported by Syrian and Russian air backup, recaptured a strategic military airbase North of Aleppo province.

The Kurdish militias in a concerted operation, backed by joint Russian and Syrian air cover, managed to establish full control over the Minaq Airbase, 6 kilometers South of Azaz town in Aleppo province, and restored total security to the strategic facility.

SANA quoted sources as saying that ISIL gatherings and machinegun-equipped vehicles were destroyed during the strikes in Tadef, Tiba al-Ism and its farms, and al-Bab city in the eastern and northeastern countryside of the Aleppo province.

The strikes also targeted fortified positions of al-Nusra front in al-Bawabia, Kamarin, al-Zarba, and Khan al-Assal in the southern and southwestern countryside, destroying the sites along with all terrorists and weapons inside them.

In the northern countryside, the airstrikes targeted terrorists’ dens in Sawran village near to Azaz city, inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists’ ranks and destroying their munitions, SANA said.
