PeskovTurkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statements about Russia's alleged occupation of part of Syria are absurd from the point of view of international law, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

"As for President Erdogan's statements that Russia has occupied part of Syria, they [statements] are wrong and absurd from a judicial standpoint and from the point of view of international law," he told reporters on Feb. 9.
