Hezbollah condemned on Saturday the Saudi regime’s crime of assassinating the major religious scholar Mujahid Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr

Hezbollah condemned on Saturday the Saudi regime's crime of assassinating the major religious scholar Mujahid Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, considering that baseless pretexts as well as illogical, unfair and corrupted sentences were behind that criminal act.

In a statement, Hezbollah pointed out that the real reason of assassinating Sheikh Nimr is that his eminence faced the Saudi authority's ignorance, tyranny and oppression, by demanding it to grant the oppressed people their wasted rights and fortune.

The Saudi crime was represented by including Sheikh Nimr with a group of terrorists, who terrified the civilians, in order to mix up the righteous path of his eminence with the evil of the criminals, according to the statement.

Sheikh Nimr is a divine scholar who resisted injustice via peaceful means, and his persistence in sticking to right till martyrdom will demolish Al Saud dynasty's falsehood, refute its claims and invalidate its malicious attempts to tarnish the image of this jihad before the Umma, the statement added.

Hezbollah maintained that this crime at the beginning of the new year is a stain of disgrace that will afflict the regime which has been committing massacres since its emergence, including the brutal carnage against thousands of pilgrims in Mina without expressing grief or sorrow for the criminal act.

The party called on the international community and the human rights organizations as well as the vital forces in the Umma to denounce the Saudi crime and to blacklist KSA in the international record of criminality for infringing a peaceful religious scholar because he rejected oppression and aggression.

Hezbollah further considered that USA is morally and directly responsible for this crime because it supports the Saudi regime and covers up its criminal acts against the region's people although it falsely claims to hold the slogans of democracy, freedom and human rights.

Hezbollah finally offered deep condolences and congratulations to the Sheikh Nimrs' family and brethren in the eastern region, the Arab peninsula and the entire Islamic World, pleading Holy God to grant the martyr His mercy and to immortalize his teachings and path.
