The Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi denied the reports which mentioned that his government had asked any country to send infantry troops to fight the terrorist group of ISIL.

In a statement, Abadi said that the Iraqi government reassures its firm stance and categorical rejection to any such action which "violates the national sovereignty."

Abadi stressed that Iraq will consider any step of sending infantry troops as a hostile action.
