Syrian Army Attacks Terrorists in Lattakia, Qunietra, Homs

The Syrian army on Thursday killed scores of different Takfiri and terrorist organizations’ members and destroyed their arms, vehicles and hideouts throughout the country.

In Lattakia, an army unit, joined with the popular defense groups, destroyed two terrorist Takfiri organizations’ vehicles during a special army operation against one of their hideouts in al-Mraij village, 48 km northeast Lattakia city.

A military source told SANA Thursday that at least 12 terrorists mostly of al-Nusra Front takfiri organization were killed during the army operation, in addition to demolishing two cars with all weapons and ammunition on board.

Meanwhile, Turkish media “Afrinsell Newspaper” unveiled on Tuesday that Erdogan’s regime supplied terrorists with a batch of weapons and ammunition in the countryside of Lattakia and Idleb provinces.

In Homs, an army unit killed all members of a terrorist organization’s group and destroyed their pick-up truck, vehicle, and a motorcycle in Housh al-Zabadi village in Talbeiseh in the northern countryside of Homs province.

Meanwhile, a number of terrorists were killed and others were injured in Jarjeiseh village in the vicinity of al-Rastan Lake and big amounts of their ammunition and arms were destroyed in a separate special operation of an army unit.

In Qunietra, army units killed members of Takfiri terrorist organizations in Jebata al-Khashab, al-Hamidiya and Roweyhine villages in the countryside of the southern province.

Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 230,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.

Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
