Zionist Entity Holds ‘Wide-Scale’ Drill: ISIL Poses No Threat like Hezbollah

Israeli reports said that the Israeli occupation military staged a ‘large-scale’ drill last week to prepare for a potential ground operation into Syria in the event of an attack by Syria-based militants or by Hezbollah fighters.

The Israeli occupation military has finalized plans to wage different kinds of attacks, ground and artillery, in the Lebanese and the Syrian territories, Israeli media reported.

Israeli reports said that the Israeli occupation Forces (IOF) staged a ‘large-scale’ drill last week to prepare for a potential ground operation into Syria in the event of an attack by Syria-based militants or by Hezbollah fighters.

Israeli channel 10 reported on Sunday that the last week drill included preparation for a scenario in which Takfiri militants launch a sophisticated, multi-pronged attack on Israeli troops, similar to attacks against Egyptian security forces in Sinai in recent months.Israel Holds ‘Wide-Scale’ Drill

The channel 10 said that the IOF also planning for a possible Hezbollah offensive directed by Iran, with an IOF source saying that hundreds of Hezbollah members are present in the Golan.

For its part, Israeli channel 2 also reported the Israeli maneuver, noting that there have been Israeli concerns from the cooperation taking place between Hezbollah and the Lebanese army.

Hezbollah has “upped its presence on the Lebanese side of the border with Israel, joining the Lebanese Army on patrols and exercises, despite limitations” set on the resistance group under the international resolution adopted by the United Nations Security Council, 1701, which has ended the Israeli war on Lebanon in 2006, known as July war, Channel 2 said in Sunday report.

Meanwhile, military and security correspondent for Israeli Channel 2, Roni Daniel, noted that the Lebanese resistance movement is the only party which fought Israel.

It is important to stress that all operations we had seen on the border with Golan were carried out by Hezbollah and its allies, Daniel said.

“Syrian rebels, the global Jihadist network (al-Qaeda) or ISIL (so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Levant) haven’t fired any shot on Israel, although they are positioned along the border with Israel except for some pockets located near the Druze town of Hader, which lies near Quneitra,” Daniel said.

In the same context, a senior officer in the Israeli Northern Command stressed that ISIL “poses no noticeable threat on the state of Israel,” noting that the Takfiri group lacks the strategic military power.
