The General Security Directorate announced in a statement on Friday that its elements arrested a Lebanese on charges of belonging to the terrorist group of Osama Mansour and Shadi Mawlawi and coordinating with another Lebanese who intended to carry out a suicide attack in Lebanon.

The Lebanese suspect is also accused of trying to bring one of Daesh leaders into Arsal through the mountain; the National news agency cited the General Security Directorate statement.

The General Security forces also managed to arrest a Syrian on charges of belonging to Al-Nusra Front, recruiting people and transferring money and militants to Syria to fight alongside the Takfiri group.

Upon the conclusion of the investigations, the two arrestees were transferred before the competent court, NNA added.
