Iran’s Navy Commander Warns of ’Strong Response to Slightest US Aggressive Move’

Iran's navy commander Ali FadaviIslamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi warned on Monday the United States against taking the slightest hostile move against Iran, stressing that Tehran's response will be unpredictably strong, Fars news agency reported.

"The western media are mocking at the US for speaking of 'on the table options (against Iran)' because the US always utters some words without the ability to materialize them and … we are ready to give such a powerful response to the slightest move of the US that it won't be able to make any other moves," Fadavi said, addressing a ceremony in the Northern city of Zibakenar on Monday.

He said that the Iranian Armed Forces are now at the highest level of preparedness, stating that only the dead body of the American troops realizes the power of the Islamic Revolution.

Fadavi also referred to the nuclear talks between Iran and the world powers, including the US, and said, "The Islamic Revolution has given the other side a rare opportunity and they should take care not to miss it."

In relevant remarks in March, Fadavi underlined that the enemies will never dare to attack Iran because they are afraid of the Iranian Armed Forces' deterrent power.

"Iran's power of deterrence is preventing the enemies from attacking the country," Rear Admiral said, addressing a ceremony in the city of Mashhad, Northeastern Iran.

He noted that the enemies have always been trying to attack Iran, but the Islamic Republic's power of deterrence has prevented them from achieving their goals.

"The Americans and our enemies cannot stand up against the Islamic system's deterrence power no matter how hard they try," Rear Admiral Fadavi added.

Fadavi comments came in response to earlier statements by some US officials who claimed saving the world form an imminent Iranian bomb, and warned of keeping the military option on table with the Islamic Republic.
