Mohammad Bin SalmanMohammed bin Salman, who is also defense minister, boarded the USS Theodore Roosevelt which is operating in Gulf waters, the Saudi Press Agency said.

"The visit comes in response to an invitation by the US Department of Defense," it said, adding that Salman was briefed on the carrier's weapons and operations.

The ship is operating in the area of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet, which is based in Saudi Arabia's neighbor Bahrain.

Saudi has been launching a brutal attack on Yemen since March 26, in which Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
