Syrian Army Foils ISIL, al-Nusra Attacks in Idleb, Daraa

The Syrian army inflicted more losses on Thursday upon terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment in various areas.

In the countryside of the coastal province of Lattakia, an army unit repelled terrorists who attempted to attack military posts in Jabal Zahia “Zahia Mountain” in Rabi’eh area.

In Idleb meanwhile, an army unit targeted hideouts for terrorists of “Jaish al-Fath” group in Cou’a al-Hatab in Ariha area in the countryside of the province.

Earlier, units of the army inflicted heavy losses among the ranks of terrorist organizations which tried to infiltrate into the areas of Tal Sahen, Janet a-Qura and Sugar factory in the countryside.

In Daraa, army unit carried out precise operations against dens of al -Nusra Front terrorist organization and the so-called Al-Muthana Islamic Movement in al-Nazihin Camp in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood.

A  number of terrorists were killed in the operations and others were injured, in addition to destroying their arms and ammunition.

In Quneitra, army units killed dozens of Takfiri terrorist organizations’ members in intensive strikes against their positions and supply routes in the vicinity of Tal Kroum Jabba, Jabbata al-Khashab, al-Teeha and Mas’hara in the northeastern countryside of the southern province.

In Deir Ezzor, the Army Air Force targeted the so-called 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' (ISIL) takfiri group and destroyed their vehicles in al-Husseiniyeh and al-Mrei’iyieh in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor.

Syria was hit by a violent unrest since mid-March 2011, where the western media reports accuse countries, mainly the USA, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar of orchestrating the civil conflict in the country and providing terrorist groups with money, weapons and trained mercenaries.

On May 2011, Syrian army launched a wide-scale operation against armed groups and gunmen operating in the country, who started to escape the army blows and infiltrate illegally to Lebanon.
