Saudi Mufti Permits Iftar for Soldiers on Border with Yemen

Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh said that soldiers who are stationed on the border with Yemen can break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan.

Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh said that soldiers who are stationed on the border with Yemen can break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan.

In remarks published by Saudi daily, Okaz,the Mufti permitted Iftar for soldiers who can’t fast during their “Jihad” against the “enemy” on the border with Yemen.

Grand Saudi Mufti Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh “I felicitate you on the blessed month of Ramadan as you are stationed on the battlefield,” Al-Sheikh addressed the Saudi soldiers, according to the Okaz.

Yemen has been since March 26 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition. Thousands have been martyred and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

However, Yemeni army, backed by popular committees and tribal fighter has been responding to the Saudi aggression, with several border areas in the Saudi Arabia are under the fire of those fighters.

Riyadh launched the attack on Yemen in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
