Moscow and Tehran have concluded talks on the delivery of Russian S-300 missiles to Iran which should take place "quite" soon, Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Monday.

"It will be done at the soonest opportunity possible," he added after meeting his Russian counterpart Mikhail Bogdanov.

Abdollahian also stressed that all issues surrounding the delivery of the system to Iran are progressing well.

He further noted that the delivery of S-300 to Iran will happen at the soonest opportunity possible.

On April 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a presidential decree paving the way for the long-overdue delivery of the missile system to Iran.

The Russian foreign ministry noted the "importance of maintaining a regular Russian-Iranian dialogue" in a statement Monday.

Tehran has previously said the missiles would be delivered by the end of the year.
