Syrian Army Controls Homs Hills Overlooking Palmyra City

Units of the army and the armed forces on Sunday launched wide-scale military operations against the Takfiri terrorist organizations across the country, destroying their dens and vehicles and killing scores of their members.

In Homs, army units inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of Arak field and in the farms north of east of Palmyra city in Homs province, a military source said.

The source said that the Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force targeted positions of ISIS terrorists around al-Hiel oil field, Wadi Abyad dam, al-Bayarat, and to the west of oil pumping station no.3 in Palmyra countryside, killing many terrorists.

Air strikes also targeted ISIS hideouts in Hamad mountains, northeast of al-Ameriye village, and the quarries east of Palmyra city, resulting in the death and injury of many terrorists and the destruction of their vehicles.

The source said that army units eliminated scores of ISIS terrorist to the north and east of Palmyra city, and the army is currently chasing down the remaining terrorists who are fleeing the area.

On a relevant note, Homs Governor Talal al-Barazi said that the Army and Armed Forces, assisted by locals, established full control over the radio tower, the hills overlooking Palmyra city, archeological sites, and the city’s western entrance, eliminating scores of terrorists.

In the eastern countryside of Homs province, army units targeted ISIS hideouts in the villages of Salam Sharqi, Oum Suhairij, Abu Hawadid, the eastern hills of al-Mshairfe village, and Ghajar Amin, killing many terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammo.

Other army units destroyed terrorists’ hideouts and killed many of them in al-Rastan town 24km north of Homs city.

Idleb

Army units, assisted by the Air Force, carried out a series of operations against terrorists in Jisr al-Shughour city and its surroundings in Idleb province, killing scores of terrorists.

An army unit destroyed mortar launchers and three vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns in the villages of Hallouz and al-Taibat 8km southwst of Jisr al-Shughour, killing a number of terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra and affiliated terrorist organizations.

The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force carried out a series of air strikes on terrorist concentrations near the National Hospital in Jisr al-Shughour and in the villages of Bashlamon, al-Kastan al-Tahtani, and Ain al-Souda southeast of the city, resulting in destroying many terrorists’ vehicles and hideouts and killing tens of them.

Terrorist organizations acknowledged the death of tens of their members on their Twitter accounts, including Abdullah al-Najm al-Abdullah, Idrins Mohammad al-Raad, Abdullah Malek al-Fajr, Abdo Ali al-Noushi, Abdelkarim al-Jao, Hassan Mohammad Zreik, Mohammad Sheikh Yousef, and Abdelkafi bin Hamid al-Sdair.

Aleppo

An army unit foiled an attempt by terrorists of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to detonate a car stuffed with big amounts of explosives before reaching the area around the Air Force Academy in Aleppo.

Another army unit inflicted heavy losses upon ISIS terrorists as it targeted several of their positions in Manbej city in northeastern Aleppo city.

The army also hit terrorist groups in the villages of Dweir al-Zaitoun and Tayara in the northern countryside of Aleppo, leaving a large number of them dead or wounded and their vehicles destroyed.

Another army unit targeted groups of terrorists in Khan al-Asal in the southeastern countryside, killing many of them.

Many more terrorists were killed as an army unit hit their positions in Dreihim field, 25 km to the southeast of Aleppo city, leaving many terrorists dead.

In Aleppo city, army units killed many Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in several neighborhoods, including Salah-Eddin, Bustan al-Basha and al-Sukkari.

Daraa

The army destroyed four dens of terrorist groups’ leaders and a store of ammunition to the north of al-Hamza and al-Abbas mosques and al-Karak and al-Bahhar neighborhoods in Daraa al-Balad in the city of Daraa.

The army units also destroyed two vehicles belonging to Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and a number of their dens on the road of al- Arsad- al-Sad.

Meanwhile, an army unit carried out special operations in which it killed a number of terrorists who infiltrated from Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the direction of Bosra al- Sham square and in al-Hammadin and Daraa al-Mahata neighborhoods.

In the northern countryside of Daraa province, units of the army carried out intensive operations against dens of terrorists in the area surrounding Atman town, killing scores of terrorists and injuring others, in addition to destroying their arms and equipment.

Deir Ezzor

An army unit eliminated 11 terrorists in an operation targeting a hideout for ISIS terrorists in Huwaijet Sakr neighborhood in the eastern side of Deir Ezzor city, a military source said.

The source said that army units destroyed a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun near the Agriculture Faculty and left many ISIS terrorists dead or injured near Ghassan Abboud roundabout in the city.

Other units eliminated many ISIS terrorists in al-Kanamat neighborhood and destroyed a weapons and ammo cache along with the terrorists inside it, most of whom were foreigners, in al-Sina’a neighborhood.Among the dead ISIS members were Mohsen al-Harbi from Saudi Arabia, Hamed Adam Khan Younes from Turkey, Radwan Parev from Chechnya, Mohammad Rashid Saleh al-Khasawneh from Jordan, and Mohannad Habib Nemaa from Iraq.

Damascus Countryside

An army unit carried concentrated strikes targeting hideouts of Jabhet al-Nusra terrorist organizations in the town of Beit Jinn in the southwestern part of Damascus Countryside.

A military source said these strikes resulted in eliminating many terrorists, injuring others, and destroying their weapons and ammo in the town which one kilometer away from the occupied Syrian Golan.
