Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that the United States’ need for talks over Tehran’s nuclear program is not less the Islamic Republic’s.

Addressing Iranian teachers in Tehran on Wednesday, the leader stressed that the Iranian people will not accept talks under threats, vowing that the Islamic Republic will not leave any acts of aggression unanswered, local media reported.

The US' need for nuclear talks is not less than Iran's, if not more, the Leader added.

Meanwhile, his eminence urged the Iranian negotiating delegation to observe the country’s red lines and not to cave in to the opposite side’s imposition of ideas, humiliation or threats in the course of talks, Press TV reported.

Negotiations seeking a definitive accord on Iran's nuclear program will resume on May 12 in Vienna, Tehran said on Tuesday.

Iran and the P5+1 group of countries – the US, France, Britain, Russia, China, and Germany - reached a mutual understanding on Tehran’s nuclear program in the Swiss city of Lausanne on April 2. They agreed to finalize a comprehensive deal by the end of June.

US top diplomat John Kerry met his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif in New York on Monday hoping to push forward the tough nuclear negotiations as they reach the final phase.
