Sheikh QassemHezbollah deputy secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said that Saudi is committing genocide in Yemen as its campaign targets the civilians and the residential areas in the Arab world's poorest country.

In an interview with The Associated Press news agency, Sheikh Qassem stressed that Saudi will pay heavy a price for its involvement in Yemen, noting that the Kingdom's regional position and role as well as its internal conditions will be negatively affected.

His eminence pointed that Hezbollah tough stances toward the Saudi war on Yemen reflect the party's refusal for KSA's policy and highlight its intention to protect the whole region from the consequences of the kingdom's mistake.

Sheikh Qassem considered that the US is a partner in the Saudi war on Yemen but that the Americans, unlike the Saudis, are aware of their goals.

The Saudi-led coalition began on March 26 air strikes against Yemen, killing or wounding hundreds of civilians and causing much destruction across the state.
