Syrian Army Destroys Dens in Eastern Ghota, Claims Scores of Gunmen

Syrian army on Sunday continued to launch intensified military operations against terrorist organizations across the country, inflicting heavy losses upon them.

In Idlib, units of the army and armed forces killed 20 terrorists affiliated to the so-called “Suqour al-Sham Brigade” in Bzabour in the countryside of the northern province of Idlib.

The terrorist Fayez Mustafa al-Drei’i, a group’s leader, was identified among the killed.

A military source affirmed that the military operations in the area resulted also in destroying several dens and gatherings for terrorists along with their weapons and ammunition in Kansafra Jabal al-Zawia area.

In the surrounding of Jabal al-Arbaeen and the nearby villages of Kafr Lata, Kafr Najd and Nahla, army units carried out abrupt special operations, leaving numbers of terrorists killed and their weapons and ammunition destroyed.

More terrorists were killed during operations that targeted their gatherings in Nahlia village to the north of Ariha city.

In Jisr al-Shughour area, units of army and armed forces eliminated a number of terrorists in al-Sahn and Hallouz villages.

Supply routes of the terrorist organizations in al-Janoudiyeh village received direct hits by the army, with many terrorists getting killed and others wounded.
Military operations were renewed in Abo al-Duhour area, 40 km east of Idlib, where the army units killed many terrorists, injured others and destroyed their weaponry and equipment in al-Hamidiyeh, Tal Salmo and Qar’a al-Ghazal.

In Damascus Countryside, army units targeted areas from which rockets are being fired by terrorists towards residential neighborhoods in Damascus city, as several shells have already fallen in various areas in the capital, crushing a number of dens of terrorist organizations in Eastern Ghota.

A unit of the army carried out a special operation against a den for terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in Madaya town in the western countryside of Damascus.

SANA reporter confirmed that the operation resulted in destroying all the weapons and ammunition inside the den, which was located in the northern quarter of the town, east of al-Zabadani city.

A number of terrorists were also killed during the operation, including Murad Mansour, Hamzeh Shebli and Baser Jdeed.

In Daraa, a unit of the armed forces smashed two of terrorists’ dens, killing all terrorists inside them and destroying a rocket launching pad and an ammo cache, in the northeastern neighborhood of Busra al-Sham city in the countryside of Daraa province, southern Syria.

Other units of the army eliminated many terrorists and targeted and destroyed some of their vehicles, gatherings and weapons in the western entrance of Tafas town and in al-Sheikh Miskeen town in the countryside.

In the south part of al-Lujatt hill, many terrorists were killed, including Nabil Mohamed al-Hariri who was the leader of a terrorist group, and their ammo and weapons were destroyed.

A unit of Army eliminated many terrorists in Khirbet Gazala, while another unit targeted members of al-Forqan Brigades terrorist group in al-Sahlya. Mohamed al-Hariri, the leader of Salah al-Deen Faction terrorist group, was identified among the dead.

In the eastern part of Daraa city, an army unit killed a number of terrorists including Maher al-Abood and Ahmad al-Syma among them, while in Daraa al-Balad another unit clashed with terrorists to the east of Post Building, killing many of them, injuring others, and destroyed their weapons and ammo.

In Homs, a series of accurate military operations were carried out against terrorist organizations’ strongholds in Wadi al-Kahf area near the Syrian- Lebanese border in Homs, a military source said.

SANA reporter quoted the source as saying that numbers of the organizations’ members were killed as a result of the operations, which took place in the countryside of al-Qusayr.

Meanwhile, army units continued hunting down terrorist organizations in the eastern countryside of Homs, killing many of their members during operations that targeted their gatherings in the villages of al-Sultaniyeh, Rajm al-Qasr, Mas’ada and Um Sahrij, 70 km away from Homs city.

Another army unit killed several terrorists and left others wounded in Taldo in al-Houla area, where the terrorist Mohammad Saad-Eddin Ibrahim, leader of the so-called “military operations room in al-Houla” was killed yesterday.

Units of the army killed a number of terrorists and wounded others in Rajem al-Kaser, al-Sultaniyeh, Masa’dah and Um Sahrij in the eastern countryside of the central province, a military source told SANA .

In Quneitra, scores of takfiri terrorist organizations’ leaders and members were killed Sunday in military operations launched by units of the army and armed forces against their hideouts and gatherings in the countryside of Quneitra southern province.

A military source told SANA that units of the army and the armed forces destroyed a den of takfiri terrorist organizations’ leaders affiliated to al-Nusra Front terrorist organization in the western part of Ovania village, north of al-Hamidiyeh village.

Three kilometers northwest of Tal al-Harrah where Israeli-backed terrorists are positioned and targeting civilians, a unit of the army and the armed forces destroyed terrorists’ gatherings, killing a number of them to the west of the archeological hill in the center of Naba’ al-Sakhr village, 16km southeast of Quneitra city.

Another army unit launched direct hits against gatherings of the terrorist organizations, killing and injuring scores of their members, in al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh town in the southern countryside of the province.

The takfiri organizations which are moving between the Jordanian borders and the Israeli-occupied territories, including Jabhat al-Nusra, the so-called Ahrar al-Sham and al-Furqan Brigades, are working on destroying the archeological sites in the villages and towns of Quneitra countryside, looting relics and monuments and smuggling them out of the country.

Syria was hit by a violent unrest since mid-March 2011, where the western media reports accuse countries, mainly the USA, Turkey and Saudi Arabia of orchestrating the civil conflict in the country and providing terrorist groups with money, weapons and trained mercenaries.

On May 2011, Syrian army launched a wide-scale operation against armed groups and gunmen operating in the country, who started to escape the army blows and infiltrate illegally to Lebanon.
