Zarif Briefs Iranian Majlis on Nuclear Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif briefed the legislative body in the Islamic Republic on the latest round of nuclear negotiations in Vienna.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif briefed the legislative body in the Islamic Republic on the latest round of nuclear negotiations in Vienna, noting that six points of divergence still exist between Tehran and the world powers.

Iranian FM ZarifThe issues of divergence mainly are on timing and quality of removal of sanctions and that when Iran can enter the capital market again, an Iranian parliamentarian quoted Zarif as saying in Saturday session, IRNA news agency reported.

Zarif also pointed out that differences on Arak nuclear facility have been shrunk remarkably, the MP, who represents Rasht constituency in the parliament, noted, adding that according to to Zarif, the number of centrifuges was another issue of dispute.

MP Gholamali Ja'farzadeh Imenabadi also quoted Zarif as saying that during the 7-day talks six meetings took place among ministers and four were held among deputy foreign ministers along with several expert sessions.

He said Zarif noted that the Iranian delegation included only 16 members while the Americans had about 180 and the UK 40 delegates in the talks.
