Iran Foreign Minister's Deputies Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi and Abbas Araqchi held quadrilateral meeting with representatives of Germany, UK and France on Thursday.

The quadrilateral meeting was held prior to the arrival of US Secretary of State John Kerry to Vienna aimed at joining the talks.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the EU nuclear coordinator Catherine Ashton and US senior diplomat William Burns also held trilateral talks in Vienna on Thursday.

The nuclear talks between Iran and members of the G5+1 (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany) will end on November 24, the deadline to reach a comprehensive settlement.

Zarif told reporters upon his arrival in Vienna on November 13 that this is the "last phase "of the nuclear talks.

The third day of nulcear talks between experts of Iran and the G5+1 had begun Thursday morning co-chaired by Foreign Ministry Director General for Political and International Security Affairs Hamid Baeididnejad and Catherine Ashton's special assistant Stephen Clement.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkahm told IRNA that so far, the negotiations were serious, intensive but slow.

She added that bilateral talks will be held on Thursday by Iran's Deputy Foreign Ministers Majid Takht-e-Ravanchi and Abbas Araqchi and their Russian counterpart Sergey Rybakov.

Although the main parties of the nuclear talks, Iran and the US, are still at daggers over all issues, basic disputes revolve on the way of lifting sanctions against Iran as well as the size of the country's enrichment activities.

Mechanism for removing sanctions is basic pivot of Iran-US disputes.

According to foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the source of the dispute, which has waisted many times so far, is not the issue of enrichment itself but is the scale of Iran's enrichment activities.

Zarif regretted that Western states, the US officials in particular, still believe that the sanctions had benefitted them and are the solution to the nucleat dispute.

Iran insists on removal of all sanctions including those imposed on the country by the UN, US and the EU.

Informed sources say that tough and serious talks are underway on removal of all types of sanctions both economic and non-economic ones.

The 10th round of comprehensive nuclear talks opened here on November 18.

This round of talks was described by Zarif as the "last phase."
