Israeli occupation forces launched an airstrike on al-Qarara in the Gaza Strip that killed three Palestinians on Friday afternoon in the middle of an "unofficial" ceasefire that was due to last until 8 p.m.

The deaths brought the total Palestinian death toll in the month-long assault to 1,898 with more than 9,825 injured.

The Zionist army resumed pounding on the Gaza Strip Friday, shortly after the expiry of the 72 hour long truce between Tel Aviv and the Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas.

The Zionist entity announced it had targeted "terror sites" in the Gaza strip in response to the 18 Palestinian rockets fired towards the occupied Palestinian territories.

"The Israeli prime minister and defense minister have ordered the "IDF" (Israel Defense Forces) to retaliate forcefully to the Hamas breach of the ceasefire," an official said in a statement.

Israeli tanks have also started to redeploy to their previous positions during the Gaza War.

Palestinian medics confirmed an Israeli air strike killed a 10 year old child in Gaza City, the first death reported after the ceasefire. A woman was wounded in the same attack, emergency services said.

The Palestinian interior ministry and witnesses said Israeli warplanes struck Jabaliya in northern Gaza, as well as Gaza City and the center of the Palestinian enclave.

The Israeli regime’s 29 days of military attacks against the Gaza Strip has claimed the lives of nearly 1,900 Palestinians, including more than 400 children, and wounded over 9,500 others.
