Terrorist mortar attacks on Damascus city on Wednesday caused a number of injuries among civilians and material damage to private properties.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that a mortar shell fired by terrorists landed on a building's roof in al-Shaalan area, causing material damage to the building and a number of cars in the site.

The source added that another shell fell on Faris al-Khouri Street in Abbassiyeen area, causing material damage.

In al-Dwaila'a neighborhood, a mortar round fell on a house near an infirmary, injuring five civilians including two children ages 8 and 10, in addition to causing material damage to the house.

In Damascus countryside, a total of six mortar rounds fell on Harasta neighborhood's roundabout, claiming the life of one civilian, injuring three others, and causing material damage to cars and a fire.

A terrorist mortar attack claimed a citizen's life in Khan Arnabeh town in Qunetira countryside.

A source at the Police Command told SANA that terrorists fired 4 shells, 3 of them fell  near Hani Quaider school, while the fourth  landed to the south of the town, claiming the life of a citizen and injuring another.
