In a statement, it described the raids as a response to three rockets fired from the Palestinian enclave into southern Occupied Territories. The rocket attacks had left no casualties or damage.

Media outlets reported that the Zionist aircraft targeted open areas in Beit Hanoun in the north of the Gaza Strip and farm land in Khan Younis in the south.

Many greenhouses were burnt in the Zionist shelling, according to eyewitnesses.

No causalities have been reported.

Tensions have mounted between Gaza and occupation entity since the latter killed three member of the Islamic Jihad group in an airstrike last month.

In response, Gaza-based resistance groups fired around 90 rockets into the self-proclaimed "Jewish state", which responded with airstrikes across the Palestinian coastal enclave.
