Israeli Army Fires Missiles, Shells on Occupied Golan Heights, Injuries Recorded

A Syrian military source said the Zionist enemy fired missiles and tank shells and opening machinegun fire, injuring a number of Internal Security Forces personnel and civilians.

A Syrian military source said the Zionist enemy violated Wednesday Golan Heights33morning the Agreement on Disengagement in the occupied Syrian Golan by firing missiles and tank shells and opening machinegun fire, injuring a number of Internal Security Forces personnel and civilians.

The source clarified that the Zionist enemy launched at 6 am four missiles from al-Sateh hill and al-Khwein in the Golan towards the school and mosque of al-Hamidiyeh area and fired at 6:30 am four tank shells towards al-Hurriyeh site, in addition to opening fire by medium-sized machineguns towards al-Hamidiyeh site at 7:10 am.

Seven members of the Internal Security Forces and four civilians were injured in the Israeli aggression, according to the source.

"This aggression stresses once again the reality of the Zionist entity's direct involvement in backing and supporting the terrorist groups and proves beyond any doubt the extent of the existing coordination between the Zionist enemy and these groups, especially at this time when the terrorist groups are receiving severe strikes at the hands of the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army, in a desperate bid to mitigate the pressure on them," the source said.

It added that while the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces "affirms that such acts of aggression won't discourage it from continuing its missions of chasing and eliminating the armed terrorist groups, it warns of the consequences of getting involved in such ventures and testing out combat capabilities."
