Syrian refugeesThe Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday that the new batch, which was delivered to Damascus this week, includes medical equipment, clothes and food supplies, Ria Novosti news agency reported.

The aid, which includes medical equipment, clothes and food supplies, was collected in Russia by the Imperial Orthodox Palestinian Society, based in St. Petersburg, it said. “The funds for the shipment were donated by Russian Orthodox faithful in response to an appeal by the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, in June.”
