"We must do everything so that the democratic process can remain the basis of pluralism" in Egypt, Hollande told reporters at a joint news conference with Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki.

Hollande condemned "the ouster of the democratically elected President Mursi that was carried out the Egyptian army."

"It is a failure when a democratically elected president is sequestered," he said.

Hollande keeps two days in Tunisia where he voices support for its government and holds a number of French-Tunisian agreements that will aid the Arab country in different domains, according to France Agence Presse.
