02/07/2009 Hezbollah criticized on Thursday UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon for not condemning Israeli spy networks in his 10th report on the implementation of Security Council resolution 1701, saying that the latter's positions and stances were biased in favor of the Israeli enemy. In a statement it released, Hezbollah said that every time a new UN report seeks to uncover the Israeli crimes, another pillar of the international organization's credibility falls down. Hezbollah said it hoped that the report would clearly indicate the danger of such Israeli acts and their violation of Lebanese sovereignty. "It would have been appropriate for the Secretary General to condemn the Israeli acts and hold the Zionist entity fully responsible for these crimes and their consequences," the statement said. "Through its spy networks in Lebanon, Israel is not only responsible for crimes and attacks committed during the July 2006 war and subsequent wars, it is also the prime suspect in many crimes against Lebanon's internal security," Hezbollah emphasized. The Resistance party also criticized the stance of US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman, saying that it was another reflection of the US administration's pain to see the independent and free Lebanon through its army, people and resistance. "The injustice of the US and the UN’s bias will not stop us from confronting dangers that threaten Lebanon," Hezbollah concluded.
