MP Fadlallah: The Opposition Deals Positively with Polls Results
Readers Number : 3765

08/06/2009 Hezbollah said all its 11 candidates in Lebanon's election on Sunday won seats in the new 128-member parliament."All 11 candidates we fielded in the vote have won," Hasan Fadlallah, also an MP in the outgoing parliament, told AFP. He added that overall, Hezbollah and its allies had won 21 seats in districts in southern Lebanon and 10 seats in the eastern Baalbek region. Fadlallah would not comment on claims by the ruling coalition saying that the final results were not yet in. "What matters to us now is that Lebanon turns a new page, one based on partnership, cooperation and understanding," he said. "Lebanon's specificity is in its diversity and there is no majority or minority," he told AFP. "No party can claim to have won the majority among all communities."

Mabrouk from the non-White people of America to the people of Lebanon 08/06/2009 01:53:00

Bismillah errahman erraheem. Always remember who brought the humiliation, the destruction, the misery, the sadness and all kinds of evil to Lebanon which contributed the alphabets to the West. Also always remember who stood up to the enemies of Lebanon and sacrificed thousands of young precious lives that you, I and our children can live long, happy, prosperous and dignified lives. And be ready for the sacrifices of tomorrow which will out-rank and out-number the sacrifices of yesterday. Alf Mabrouk Assalamu alaykom.

Apparently the residents of Lebanon are still did not understand the danger of such a government. Who really loves the people of Lebanon are the Mukawama. Residents of northern Lebanon do not understand the danger of overlooking them and think that Israel is not a danger for them because they are far from the border. Shame

to mr accept, we burn tyres which we have paid for, not wait for the hairi clan to give us money to pay for them. we burn tyres and we get rid off jews and people that follow them, like you. we are loyal lebanise, we dont, divide between religions, or sects in islam, like you. also i would be ashamed to call myself muslim, if the isreali people congratulated us for winning the elections, so go hide yoourself and your shame, and pick up your pay check from sayda for voting for them. lets see what your government is going to fix in the next 4 years, an extra $450000000, debt

I see the rivers filled with blood and the blood flowing to the red sea, is this Amrioui what you want. There is something pathetic about people who are prepared to die for their ideals but yet do not know how to live for them.

I would've rather wanted HizbAllah and its allies to win a majority. I believe a big majority of all Lebanese support HizbAllah, but are still afraid of their arms (especially after HizbAllah was forced to show its force when the March 14 bloc was threatening to take away its means of communication etc.) The way that HizbAllah deals with the current results (its acceptance) will hopefully open a lot of eyes, show that the party is not a danger to the Lebanese, but a blessing. and Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, to me you are not just a great leader, you are one of the very few leaders in the Muslim world who can bridge the Sunni-Shia secularism and gives EVERY Muslim a sense of pride that we had long lost.
An opinion about disarming Hezbollah from Washington D.C.: 09/06/2009 16:21:00
Amrioui Salaheddine  |  USA
Bismillah errahman erraheem. The fate of Lebanon and of the Lebanese people is between the hands of Allah and Hezbollah. And if under any circumstances Hezbollah disarms the entire Lebanon and the Lebanese people will perish. Let me repeat if Hezbollah gives up its arms the entire Lebanon will go up in flames. In other words all Lebanese people will lose. Do you remember the story of the dying father who gathered all his sons and gave each a stick and asked them to break it and every one broke his stick. But when the father gave his sons all the sticks combined to break them none of them could break them. The Hezbollah Holy weapons are one of these sticks. Assalamu alaykom.
WE ARE ONE! 13/06/2009 00:27:00

Sunni, Alawite, Shiat, Catholic, Maronite, Druze, etc, etc .... WE ARE ONE... LEBANESE! May God bless the land of OUR country. I hope all Lebanese come together to move forward. Lebanon is an amazing country, it's people the most hospitable in the world. Continue that hospitality amongst yourselves, don't just offer it to those of us that visit from abroad.
