'Bride of the South' Back to the South

25/07/2008 Lebanon bid farewell for the "Bride of The South" Sana'a Mehaidli whose remains were returned in the framework of Operation al-Redwan at which Samir Kintar was released along with four Hezbollah fighters and the bodies of 199 Lebanese, Arab and Palestinian martyrs in exchange with two dead Israeli soldiers on July 16.

Sana'a Mehaidli, who was considered to be the first Arab Lebanese woman to execute a martyrdom operation against the Israeli occupation army, was buried in her hometown Ano'un in the South on Friday afternoon. Mehaidli, a member of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party blew herself up at the age of 16 in a Peugeot car filled with 200 kg TNT explosives next to an Israeli convoy in Jezzin, South Lebanon on April 9, 1985.

The operation dealt a severe blow to the Israeli army killing and injuring about 50 Israeli soldiers. Israeli military spokesman recognized the heroic operation saying that two Israeli officers were killed and two soldiers were injured in the heroic operation.

This young girl who had the will to carry out such a brave mission deserves not only recognition but a monument in her honor. I hope to Allah(saw) that such a monument already exists. Can anyone please let me know? When she carried out her brave act the enemy shook in their pants. May Allah be pleased with her and let it be known that she is an inspiration to all Arabs, Muslims and Christians.

But we expect from Alllah SWT her reward as He says: فَلْيُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ الَّذِينَ يَشْرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا بِالآخِرَةِ وَمَن يُقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ فَيُقْتَلْ أَو يَغْلِبْ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا {4:74} She has earned her life, from the Creator of life and death, I do not even think of her as dead: [3:169] وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ EACH OF OUR HEARTS IS AMONUMENT OF HERS!!

I need the English translation of the vedio message of SANA The Bride of The South which was broadcast on some Lebnese telivision immediately after her martyrdom,shahadah.Please help me;more details about her are available from Israeli sources which portray her as a terrorist.In the vedio message Sana had wished to be remembered as the Bride of the South and had also willed to be burried in a bridal dress with ceremoonies associated with a marriage. Please let me also know if She was burried in the manner she had willed?

I am a sunni muslim and I am going to name my unborn daughter Sana'a in memory of this great sacrifice Inshallah. I remember vividly as a 12 year old boy watching the news how brave this young girl was and steadfast in her belief she remained during her farwell video
