Assafir: 50,000 Hezbollahis in State of High Alert

16/02/2008 The Lebanese newspaper Assafir reported Saturday that the Hezbollah has put 50,000 of its resistance fighters in a state of high alert
and evacuated all buildings in the area designated for social or political purposes in recent days. Hezbollah vowed to retaliate the assassination of it resistance commander Imad Moghniyeh who was killed in Damascus by Mossad agents. Israel has denied any involvement.

Meanwhile, another Lebanese newspaper, Al-Akhbar, reported that Lebanese officials believe a serious military confrontation with Israel will erupt in the near future. "This possibility has been raised in intensive discussions being held between Hezbollah officials and Iranian and Syrian officials. The various militant Palestinian organizations have also declared a state of high alert," the report added.

Are we sure it's the Mossad who did it? And if it is the Mossad, are we sure the best response is revenge? Because Israel will seek another revenge... and so on. Innocent Shiite people will die. Remember that Syria did not retaliate when Israel bombed a mysterious site in Syria. Maybe that's a smart move by Syria? Is Bachar Assad a coward or a wise man?
